Create convenient external access to your caravan’s storage compartments with the SJRV tunnel boot hatch door. Suitable for caravan and motorhome builds, renovations and replacement installations, it combines an aluminium foam sandwich panel with keyed locking and a wide-opening hinge.

Available in black or white, the hatch supports horizontal or vertical mounting to suit different compartment layouts.

Dimensions below use Height × Width, shown in the horizontal orientation:

The outside frame overlaps the wall opening, so the overall frame size is larger than the installation cut-out.

Easy Access to Caravan Storage

The door opens up to 180 degrees, allowing the panel to swing clear when loading or retrieving equipment. Use it for tunnel boot storage, luggage compartments or service access areas.

Horizontal or vertical mounting allows the hatch to suit different storage layouts. Allow sufficient space around the installation for the door to open fully.

Aluminium Panel and Keyed Locking

The aluminium foam sandwich panel provides lightweight door construction, with UV-resistant materials for exterior use.

A stainless steel hinge shaft supports the opening mechanism, while self-tightening keyed mechanical locks secure the hatch when closed.

The complete assembly weighs 2.5kg.

Installation and Interior Finish

The mounting flange includes pre-drilled fixing holes, and the supplied internal flange neatly finishes the inside of the wall opening. The flange-mounted assembly accommodates different wall thicknesses.

For installation, the external flange is sealed against the caravan wall and secured through its mounting holes using suitable fixings and installation sealant.

Match the specified cut-out and R33 corner shape to the opening. Refer to the dimension drawing when marking a new installation.
