Compact Caravan Service Hatch – Black or White

The SJRV caravan service hatch provides convenient external access to small storage compartments and service areas in caravans and motorhomes. It can also provide cassette toilet access where the opening and installation position suit the toilet system.

An aluminium foam sandwich panel, keyed mechanical lock and stainless steel hinge shaft combine in a compact door assembly available in black or white.

The outside frame overlaps the wall opening, so the overall frame size is larger than the required cut-out.

External Access to Storage and Service Compartments

Reach small storage spaces and service compartments from outside your caravan without accessing them through the interior.

For cassette toilet installations, position the hatch so there is enough clear space to withdraw the cassette and operate its handle.

Aluminium Foam Sandwich Panel

The door uses an aluminium foam sandwich panel for lightweight construction, with UV-resistant materials for exterior use.

Choose black or white to complement your caravan’s exterior. The complete assembly weighs 1.5kg.

Keyed Lock and Wide-Opening Hinge

A self-tightening keyed mechanical lock secures the hatch when closed.

The stainless steel hinge shaft supports an opening angle of up to 180 degrees, allowing the panel to swing clear when there is sufficient space around the installation.

Installation and Interior Finish

The external mounting flange has pre-drilled fixing holes. An included internal flange provides a neat finish around the inside of the wall opening.

The flange-mounted design accommodates different wall thicknesses. The mounting flange is sealed against the caravan wall and secured through its fixing holes using suitable installation sealant and fixings.

For a replacement, match the specified cut-out and R33 corner shape to the existing opening. For a new installation, use the hatch’s dimension drawing to mark the opening and allow clearance for the frame, hinge and lock.
